Publisher Portal

The Publisher portal is for imprints: invite a roster of authors, claim their books under your imprint to earn the royalties, track those earnings, and set the imprint branding that prints on your books.

The portal home

From /publisher/home.html you reach six areas: Manage Authors, Manage Books, Write a Book (Studio), Publish a Book (Direct), Publisher Earnings, and Imprint Settings. If you also have an Author or Reader role, role-switch links appear here too.

Manage Authors (your roster)

  1. Open Manage Authors.
  2. Enter an author's account email and click Send invite. If they don't have an account yet, they can create one with that email and the invite will be waiting on their Launchpad.
  3. Your roster lists each author with a status badge — active, invited, or declined. Use the × button to remove someone (with confirmation).

Manage Books (catalog)

Once your authors accept, their books appear under Manage Books. Each card shows the cover, title, author, binding, and status.

Publisher Earnings

The Earnings page summarises Pending, Held (on the 14-day clock), and Paid royalties, with a table of each imprint sale (book, author, status, royalty).

Royalty = retail price minus print & shipping costs, the 5% platform fee, and the order's payment-processor fee. Imprint earnings are credited to you, the publisher; you settle with your authors directly. Held earnings release 14 days after delivery. (Publisher payouts via Stripe are part of the broader payouts rollout.)

Imprint Settings

  1. Open Imprint Settings.
  2. Set your imprint name (shown as the publisher of your titles).
  3. Click Upload logo to add a spine logo — it prints at the foot of your books' spines. A PNG with a transparent background works best; tall or square marks print most cleanly (max 2 MB). The preview shows it on a mock spine.
  4. Click Save changes.
