What's New at Triumvirate: September and October 2026

A pre-launch checklist, exact-size cover templates, your own eBooks, pen names and more

By Triumvirate Books · October 26, 2026

Every couple of months we round up what changed on Triumvirate. This time the list is long, and most of it came straight from authors telling us what got in their way. Here are the changes you will notice most, and where to find each one.

A pre-launch checklist for every print edition

Before a print book goes on sale, it now walks through a short checklist from your Launchpad. The printer checks your interior and cover files itself, and if the cover is the wrong size it tells you the exact size it needs. You confirm your ISBN and barcode, and you can order a proof first if you like.

The point is simple: a problem should show up while you can still fix it, not when a reader's order fails. Author copies do not need to wait for any of this. You can order them as soon as your book is listed.

Retail distribution in one tick

The same checklist has a box that says also list with retailers. Tick it, and the moment your book is approved it is queued for distribution to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Ingram and libraries, using the ISBN you just confirmed. No second form to fill in.

Cover templates at the printer's exact size

Spine width depends on your page count, your paper and your binding, and a guess that is slightly off is the most common reason a cover gets rejected. Our templates now come from the printer's own measurements for your exact book: paperback, hardcover and dust jacket, with the bleed, spine, flaps and safe areas marked. Download them from the Templates page, or straight from Studio and Direct while you work.

Store photos for every edition

When you publish an edition, its store listing now gets its own photos: a 3D shot of the actual book, plus the flat front and back cover. They are cut from your print cover at the exact panel positions for that binding, so a hardcover jacket looks like a hardcover jacket. Readers choosing between the paperback and the hardcover see the one they are choosing.

Bring your own eBook, and let readers try it first

If you already have an EPUB, you can now upload it from your Launchpad and it goes on sale straight away. eBooks pay you 90% of the price. Readers who buy it get it in their library and in our built-in reader.

Every eBook can also offer a free sample: roughly the first tenth of the book, opened right in the browser with no sign-in. A reader who is unsure gets to meet your writing before deciding.

Pen names, book by book

You can now publish under a pen name. Verify your identity once, add up to three pen names, and choose which name each book carries. A book under a pen name is kept separate from your real name on the store, and your royalties are unaffected.

Work with a cover artist, start to finish

Cover artists in our directory can now work with you inside a shared project. You invite an artist, they quote, and you pay through the platform. Drafts, messages and approvals all live in one place. The artist is paid half when you pay and half when you approve the final cover. Once it is done, your book page credits them with Cover art by and a link to their portfolio.

Audiobooks through Libro.fm

Where a book has an audiobook, its page now links to it on Libro.fm. Listeners buy it there, and the sale supports an independent bookstore rather than a giant.

Easier security checks

Changing where your royalties are paid asks for a second check, for your protection. You can now choose Email me a code instead of an authenticator app. If you lose your phone, a Lost your authenticator? link gets you help from a real person.

Several of these exist because an author emailed us an idea. If something on Triumvirate slows you down, or you wish it did one more thing, reply to any of our emails or write to support@triumviratebooks.com. A real person reads every message.
